On May 14th and 15th 2020 the 7th edition of the EIMAD – Meeting of Research in Music, Arts and Design has been held online.
The biannual event is organized by Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas (ESART) of Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, in Portugal and focuses research in the field of Music, Arts and Design.
I’m happy and proud to be part of EIMAD again, after my Keynote, back in 2018. This year’s paper is about digital transformation at Schools of Arts and Design and particularily about how the CoVid lockdown accelerated the digital shift.
Additionally, it discusses a qualitative study, which sets out to identify the main areas that schools of arts and design should engage with in order to become active players in the digital transformation. Both, the study and the observations made during the CoViD lockdown show surprising similarities and a clear focus on inclusiveness and the human factor that are required for a successful digital transformation.
