Why Design Schools Should Take the Lead in Design Education

Thanks to our Editors Daniel Raposo, João Neves, José Silva, we published a book named «Perspective on Design». It is a volume that reports on the various research projects discussed at EIMAD Conference in Castelo Branco, Portogal by adding some new contributions discussing perspectives of the design domain. One of these perspectives is my chapter on design education. Basically it is a critique on today’s design schools that somehow missed the evolutions in the design discipline by leaving a big part of design education to other players such as management schools or online universities.
